Debenhams Breaks Ranks and Launches New Season with Designer Discounts

Department store retailer Debenhams turned the convention of the sale on its head by reducing prices at the start of the Autumn/Winter season, rather than the end of it.

The innovative move sees tens of thousands of new season lines reduced by up to 25 per cent, across new to store stock including womenswear (http://www.debenhams.com/sale ), accessories, menswear, childrenswear, home, cosmetics, lingerie, sports and leisure and gifting.

The move will no doubt be popular with consumers, with many remaining cautious due to the continuing, challenging economic climate following spending cuts and the 'will we, wont we' double-dip recession debate.

So extensive are the 'introductory offers' that even top designers - Betty Jackson, Julien Macdonald, Jasper Conran, John Rocha, Matthew Williamson and Henry Holland - will see their exclusive to Debenhams, diffusion collection prices fall just before their mainline offerings grace the catwalks at London Fashion Week.

"Retailers discount at a time that suits them to help sell tired end of season stock," said Michael Sharp, Debenhams deputy chief executive.

"This move turns that idea totally on its head.? It offers customers discounts across the store on the very latest products, meaning they can pick up this season's must-haves at sale prices," added Michael Sharp.

"I have said it before and I will say it again. We are more determined than ever to deliver designer clothes at prices everyone can afford.? Nowhere else on the high street can you see so many fantastic offers all under one roof."

Joining these exclusive to Debenhams designers will be famous high street names that have an offer in the retailer's stores including; Oasis, Dorothy Perkins, Coast, Warehouse, Eastex, Planet, Wallis, ?Levis, Lee, Dune, Dyson and Denby plus many more which will also be available at knock down prices.

Customers can also shop for the sale (http://www.debenhams.com/sale ) items from their home, as they can get all the women's jackets online deals from Debenhams.com and get their shopping delivered to their house.

In addition, by using Debenhams' 'collect from store' service, customers can get their new season deals delivered directly to their nearest store.

And for the first time, the introductory offers will be available in eight countries overseas including France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, United States, Australia and New Zealand via Debenhams.com.

Stores will be open longer over the four day new season launch extravaganza with doors open from 9.00am to 10.00pm.

More Than the Usual Halloween Safety Tips From iZAPmen.com

Halloween is only a few days away so it's time to get all of your shopping done so you can go out and make the most of your weekend. According to iZAPmen.com, Halloween is celebrated by American adults more than any other holiday! That being said, you would imagine it's not just children piling tons of candy in their trick-or-treat bags. Many adults take part in the festivities as well, whether it is parents who chaperone their children or adults getting dressed up and going out to clubs, bars and parties. It is definitely an incredible holiday to celebrate but we must always remember to take the appropriate Halloween safety precautions whether you are a parent taking your child trick-or-treating or an adult having a good time with your friends. iZAPmen.com provides us with much more than the usual Halloween safety tips.

The children have come home from school after a day of showing off all their great costumes and characters and are ready to go get some candy! Surely the first thing that mothers think about is the safety of their children. Halloween is all in good fun, but mothers are well aware that their children are approaching and receiving candy from strangers. Here are some tips for moms to make sure that your child is kept out of harm's way. Always make sure that any candy that your child is given is properly wrapped so that you know it isn't tampered with. Anything that is loose or not wrapped correctly should be thrown out immediately. When your child selects a house that they want to go to, stay by their side at all times because that is the only way to ever really make sure that they do not disappear. Finally, avoid streets that do not have bright street lights. Surely there are plenty of streets in your neighborhood, so just make sure you are going down the ones that seem the safest to you. Wear bright clothing, carry flashlights and be sure to bring your cell phone to report any trouble.

When adults go on their own Halloween adventures, usually there is alcohol involved. With an abundance of vampires and alcohol, you need to always make sure to take the right precautions when going out. Some costumes often attract more attention than others which may cause unwanted incidents that can lead to very seri women's coats online ous consequences. An image of a drunk vampire who won't take "no" for an answer from a French maid may come to mind. There is nothing wrong with the costumes themselves, but we need to be as careful as possible. So here are some tips on how to avoid incidents when out on Halloween. Always travel with a group of friends and do not separate from them especially when wandering the streets from one place to another. For women, some costumes tend to be more revealing which often attracts more attention. Bring a light jacket with you that will not be a nuisance, in case you feel uncomfortable where you are. It will also help while you are walking the streets in a city where you are seen by more people.

Despite all of the tips above, the unexpected can always happen so you need to find the best way to protect yourself in the event a situation begins to take a turn from bad to worse. We spoke to the experts at iZAPmen.com regarding what to do in case you are put in uncomfortable situations or ever confronted with major problems. When we spoke to Tammy Taser of IZapmen.com, she said "I always keep my Taser C2 with me when I am going out on Halloween. It just gives me an even greater sense of security whether I'm dancing on Halloween or just out on the town with my friends on any night."

"I never leave home without my stun gun in my purse" says Suzy Stungun. "No matter what my situation, I know that no one will mess with me after a couple zaps from my stun gun.

Pepperspray Patti tells us how "her light and convenient pepper spray is with her no matter where she goes and that it will definitely be in her pocketbook this Halloween."

"I'll be the first one to tell you how much I love Halloween, but all of that fun can be ruined if you are not careful with the decisions you make or if you run into someone who is not making good decisions," says Mandy Mace. "My mace is definitely going to be locked and loaded this weekend!"

The beauty of these products is that when you take them with you on a Halloween adventure, it's not like you can't ever use them again! They will always be available for you to use no matter where you go. Moms can carry them as extra protection when with their kids or even alone. Adults can have them for when they go out to on dates, to parties, clubs or bars. It will just be so much more comforting knowing you have a backup plan in case of any kind of incident that might require you to defend yourself. Hopefully some of the self-defense products found on IZapmen.com, will help keep you and your loved ones safe this Halloween!

GoldenWear Apparel to Debut Line at 2011 Professional Golf Association Merchandise Show in Orlando this January

GoldenWear, a new brand of golf fashion designed for mature women golfers, will be presenting their golf clothing collections for the first time at the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida this January 26 – 29, 2011. GoldenWear is looking forward to being a participant in one of the golf industry's largest trade shows. Created by Southern California golfer Darlene Harwick, the designs were born from a largely under-represented demographic in golf fashion - the mature woman. GoldenWear collections are chic while sporty with cuts a little fuller and lengths a little longer, in fabrics that flatter the mature body. All pieces in the collection fashion coats s are interchangeable, easy-care, and travel-friendly.

GoldenWear will be presenting the 'Coronado' collection and will also unveil 'Panther River.' Their first collection, Coronado, exemplifies stylish golf clothing for women, combines traditional and elegance in a classic navy and white color scheme detailed with Swarovski buttons and rhinestone zippers. The stunning white ultrasuede jacket with a large off-set crystal zipper is perfect for chilly golf days and après golf activities. The newest collection, Panther River, is a walk on the wilder side, in abstract, colorful animal prints with re-imagined details.

Women have been praising GoldenWear for its fit and design, with comments like, "I finally found something that looks great and doesn't have to be taken to the tailor!" And, "I've not yet reached my 'golden' years, but GoldenWear fits a 'real' woman."

The PGA Merchandise Show provides the opportunity for Darlene Harwick to showcase her collections to a large audience of golf apparel buyers, as well as media interested in her unique and targeted demographic within the golf apparel industry.

Darlene Harwick knows her market of golfers because she's one of them. She created GoldenWear to address the older women golfer who had been overlooked. Darlene's mantra: "Golf is more than a sport, it's a lifestyle. Enjoy! Look Golden on the Green."

For more information, visit their website at http://www.goldenwear.com or stop by booth 4290 at the show.

Global Market for Knit Underwear and Nightwear to Reach US$70.85 Billion by 2015, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

The intimate apparel market is driven mainly by style, and fashion with equal importance accorded to comfort, and novelty. The industry is marked by new fabric developments, and innovations in prettier, and more comfortable garment designs. The growing trend towards innerwear worn as outerwear has been richly beneficial to the lingerie market. The introduction of camisoles in trendy colors and T-shirts with built-in bras bear testimony to these trends. The market nevertheless is confronted with a mixed bag of opportunities and challenges. For instance, fierce competition has resulted in falling prices and a threatening shift of production to low-cost countries. In developed countries, aging population is pushing down growth opportunities. On the other hand, developing regions, hold immense potential for future growth, given their favorable demographics, rising standards of living, growing affluence and widespread adoption of Western lifestyles. Manufacturers are therefore fast expanding their business operations into South America, Central Europe and Asia. The lingerie market is in a state of transition, as both global brands and private-labels are re-assessing their respective market positions. Consumers in this segment generally tend to purchase more than necessary. Impulse purchases are rampant, and purchase decisions are typically based on feel-good factors, instincts, style and fitting rather than sheer necessity.

Ever changing consumer lifestyles, latest trends in fashion and style and innovations in fabric usage are the major factors driving the market for knit underwear and nightwear. Product markets expected to score the maximum gains in the upcoming years include seamless intimates such as seamless bras and panties, given consumer's desire for seamless and imperceptible undergarments. Demand for plus-size inner wear is rapidly expanding in Western markets. Stores now offer suitable lingerie to customers who earlier depended on specialists for customized innerwear clothing.

Akin to several other industries, the global economic crisis affected the world market for knit underwear and nightwear during the years 2008 and 2009. Mature, developed market of North America, Europe and Japan bore the maximum brunt of the economic instability, with sales slipping during the period. In contrast, the developing economies brushed past with marginal losses in sales. Surprisingly, the children's wear market witnessed the largest erosion in 2009 followed by the men's wear, with the market largely remaining afloat due to optimistic outlook in women's wear clothing. Nevertheless on the whole, the niche underwear and sleepwear market was more resilient to the economic crisis than the larger clothing industry and rebounded back on growth track by the year 2010, although at a slow rate of growth. Some of the notable changes the industry witnessed during the recessionary years included the influx of several retailers rendering the market more fragmented; market polarization of the luxury segment and increased popularity of the concepts 'exact fit' and value-for-money. The economic crisis considerably narrowed down the gap between the upper and lower end of the market as style differentiation almost vanished.

Europe dominates as the single largest regional market for knit underwear and nightwear, as stated by the new research report on Knit Underwear and Nightwear. The US and Asia-Pacific are the other two significant markets, trailing at a distance behind Europe. The three markets capturing a considerable share of the global market, literally set the rules and market direction. The Asia-Pacific market remained buoyant even during the economic recession, and supported by rapid growth from markets of China, India, Korea, Indonesia and Taiwan among others, is projected to register the overall fastest CAGR through 2015. By product segment, the global women's knit underwear and nightwear market is considered the most vibrant and dynamic, carrying the growth ahead e women's coats ven when sales in other segments plummeted. In the near term too, the segment is forecast to sail ahead at the fastest compounded annual rate through 2015.

The global Knit Underwear and Nightwear market is highly competitive and fragmented, with no single dominant player in the market for any national or worldwide brand. The market is characterized by the presence of numerous large and medium players vying fiercely for a share of the pie. Private label players also enjoy considerable clout in the market. Key participants profiled in the report include Benetton Group S.p.A, Bella Di Notte S.L, Berkshire Hathaway, Fruit of the Loom Inc., Cia Hering, Calvin Klein Inc., Delta Galil Industries Ltd, Donna Karan International Inc, Gunze Ltd, Jockey International Inc., Joe Boxer, Maidenform Brands Inc, The Bali Company, Triumph International, Tefron Ltd, Warnaco Group Inc, Wacoal Holdings Corp, and Wacoal America Inc, among others.

The research report titled "Knit Underwear and Nightwear: A Global Strategic Business Report" announced by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., provides a comprehensive review of current market trends, product profile, overview of apparel industry, intimate apparel dynamics, product innovations, recent industry activity and profiles of market players worldwide. Analysis and overview is provided for major geographic markets such as United States, Canada, Japan, Europe (France, Germany, Italy, UK, Spain and Rest of Europe), Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Rest of World. Market analytics are provided in value (US$) terms for product segments including Women's Knit Underwear and Nightwear, Men's Knit Underwear and Nightwear, and Children's Knit Underwear and Nightwear.

New Hollywood Based Vlog Turned Social Game Premiers as New Form of Social Commerce

Patty Rappa, the founder of LA's Premier Fashion, Food and Lifestyle Vlog turned social game, Skwikee (Sk-wik-ee), developed this unprecedented concept shortly after moving to the Los Angeles area last year. She says she wanted to share and document her adventures of living and working in tinsel town after getting signed by an agency to do commercials for the Latino market. Rappa started by creating a blog, but thought that reading about her adventures would simply not be as captivating for her followers as the opportunity to vicariously experience her journey alongside her with a vlog. To make things even more entertaining, Rappa decided to turn the whole thing into a social game that ties directly into Facebook.

As a Business 2.0 consultant with more than 14 years in e-business and strategic marketing experience, Rappa then quickly recognized the opportunity to feature brands on her vlog that were unique to LA, and thought, "What woman wouldn't want access to the things and people celebs love out here." She also decided to use this idea to test vlog based social games for the purpose of business development and social commerce opportunities. To keep it simple and close to home, she chose to target middle class women between the ages of 35-55.

Rappa says Skwikee's viral market sustainability is fueled by the power of recommendation through all the major social sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube). As the first of its kind, Skwikee's utilizes the advertainment (Advertising as Online Gaming Entertainment) website to provide a platform for players to participate in the product story on an informal, social level; it can be through anything from video-based scavenger hunts, solving mysteries to even co-creating story endings. As the level of expertise grows, the player collects various badges, leveling designations, and points that are good for virtual products and events awarded by the advertiser.

Rappa touts that the creative development interface of the Skwikee advertainment offers vloggers the tools to take an advertiser's video based message to a brand new level of brand interaction with the fashion jackets online playing audience." She says vloggers check the Skwikee Que regularly, to find out the latest project requests posted by the advertiser or business community. Vloggers then log into a password protected area to understand the objective of the advertiser, for example:

  •     Clothing Boutique - Launching of a new product line
  •     Restaurant – Sharing a new recipe or announcing a new menu
  •     Design Firm – Sharing interior design ideas
  •     Hotel – Advertising an upcoming event
  •     Radio Station – Advertising a listener contest

Why Advertisers Need It:

Moreover, Rappa believes this new social commerce will give companies a powerful new tool to help them connect with their target audiences being that it has become increasingly difficult to gain the attention of customers using interruption or push marketing. And during these challenging economic times for small to medium sized businesses, she says that reports show that audience created advertising messages, containing entertainment value, are one of the most viral cost effective ways to get a message out quickly and effectively. "This new social commerce opens up the landscape for invaluable brand interactions for businesses with their vlogger's audience by inviting them to participate as social game developers, while encompassing their brand," she declared.

Rappa says Skwikee also gives advertisers a way to "test camp" their message by utilizing the overwhelming popularity of amateur video in a way that makes its products the center of attention.

Love is in the Air and So are Black Pinup Girls from Noir A-Go Go

Noir A-Go Go is riding the wave of a great first year and wants to share the love.

An online gift store that features Black pinup girls on greeting cards, magnets, tote bags, tee shirts, postcards, and Post-its, Noir A-Go Go puts the black in the magic that is 50s Americana.

Employing original artwork to showcase Black pinups in classic poses with sayings like "Trust Me Sugar, I've Overcome!" and "Fear Is So 1950s", Noir A-Go Go explores a virtually unknown world.

The American pinup girl genre, beginning with WWII sweetheart Betty Grable and continuing on down the line to the infamous Betty Page, is a revered piece of American nostalgia. From the 1940s until the present, girls from California to Mexico don pencil skirts, tight polka dot sweaters, fishnet stockings, stacked heels, and flip their hair, in order to achieve "the look." And although companies as diverse as clothing, housewares, and novelty gifts, have capitalized on the desire of women to be sexy and sweet, something has always been missing, namely women of color.

Offering curvaeous, smart, strong, and witty pinups, a hit with the Harlem Book Fair, the Brooklyn Book Fair, the 6th Annual NYC Black Doll Show, and gift stores around NYC, Noi women's jackets r A-Go Go puts a sepia spin on a beloved genre. Love is indeed in the air.

Be Present Celebrates 10 Years of Yoga Clothing Collections

Denver-based yoga clothing company, be present, has a lot to celebrate. This month marks its 10th birthday and the company is still going strong.

Founded by husband and wife team, Jon and Amy Lopatin Dobrin, be present has been putting out seasonal collections for the last 10 years. It was founded in 2002 in Denver, Colorado when Amy produced the first designs for her brother's Arizona yoga studio, At One Yoga. Running the business from the basement of their home, her and Jon grew the business enough to move into a larger space. As the collections evolved and more popularity grew for the line, they moved into an even bigger space where the company resides today. Since then, the company has adhered to its commitment to local and domestic production. "When we first started out, we decided to do our manufacturing in Colorado. It made sense - this is where we live. 10 years later we still have all of our production in the US (most of it here in Colorado), with the same cutters and sewers that made the first pair of be present pants," says founder and designer Amy Lopatin Dobrin.

With the celebration of its 10th year comes the release of a brand new logo. This new logo includes the original be present logo, held in the palms of two hands – each finger representing a year. It has the look and feel of a butterfly, floating from the cocoon and ready to bring in the next 10 years. This artwork is available on some of be present best selling eco-friendly tees for men and women for a limited time only. This includes the women's Hangout Tee and Renew Raw Edge Long Sleeve as well as the men's Organic Cotton Tee.

be present is best known for it's woven yoga pants. Their proprietary fabric, called Breathe Weave? is a lightweight, quick-drying fabric with a modest amount of stretch. These styles are a unique in the yoga clothing industry as many yoga clothes are made with knitted fabrics rather than woven ones. This uniqueness has set be present apart, making the pants easily recognizable and remaining at the forefr women's coats ont of yoga pant styles.

AcroYoga? co-founder Jason Nemer states, "be present has been one of the most generous companies I have worked with. The owners Jon and Amy have always been committed to doing good in the world as they style out yogis in cool clothes. They are always playing with new eco materials and their grounded ethics about people, relationships and the planetary web is one of the reasons be present is a global brand. I admire and support 100% what be present does and how they do it."

be present, clothing for the yoga lifestyle, was established in Colorado in 2002 by Amy Lopatin Dobrin and Jon Dobrin. All be present clothing is proudly made in the USA. The brand remains at the forefront of the yoga apparel industry, continually designing clothing that is original and functional.

Men’s Wholesale Clothing Provider Steal Deal, Inc. Teams up with LAD Solutions to Sell Urban Clothing to Retailers and Small Businesses

Many consumers have walked into a variety of urban hip hop clothing retail stores, only to find their wallets won't be able to handle the cost. Many stores lack a business model that helps them sell clothing at a profitable rate. Steal Deal, Inc., a company in business since 2002, was founded in order to help companies alleviate this problem.

10 years later in 2012, the company is thriving and looking to expand its business. The company recently began working with LAD Solutions, a respected area internet marketing firm, in order to help bring awareness of the company to the forefront of the minds of clothing retailers.

"These guys are the best. Unbelievable prices, great attitudes, and fresh merchandise almost every week. Michael usually calls me every time they get new stuff and lets me know what I should be buying for my store. They always provide me with same women's coats day shipping and never miss a beat," said one satisfied business owner, Vernon Bradley, who also owns his own hip-hop clothing store, Urban Source.

The company currently offers more than 200 new products, in addition to its extensive line of men's wholesale clothing. The new offerings cover every imaginable aspect of clothing, including cargo shorts, NFL-themed shirts, snapback hats, a variety of basketball jerseys, hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, jeans, shoes, and women's intimate apparel. LAD Solutions will be handling search engine optimization services, which help the company's products rank higher in the search engine results pages and gain more traffic.

No matter what type of wholesale clothing businesses need, Steal Deal either has it in stock, or is working on getting it in stock. Prices for all products rarely exceed $9.99, with the most expensive products typically not exceeding $27.99. Companies must make a minimum order of six and if interested in purchasing wholesale urban clothing should visit the company's website for all the latest deals and product offers.

About Steal Deal, Inc.: The company was founded in 2002 when brothers Michael and Ebby Davood pooled together their life savings at the time, $10,000. Despite the fact they had no experience in the apparel industry, the two found product samples collected from vendors sold well. Steal Deal has managed steady growth ever since and maintains a strong position in the market by staying on top of current trends.

Fetisso Latex Clothes a Feast for Latex Lovers by Feeling USA

The manufacturer of Fetisso Latex is based in Brazil and represented by a Las Vegas company. The manufacturing plant is located near rubber plantations to obtain the raw mate?rial which is required for the production of dipped latex clothes. The latex lingerie and clothes are made by using a vulcanization process that creates an ultra smooth finish on both sides, and facilitates putting these clothes on and to take them off. No lube or powder required.

The new latex clothing line includes bras, panties, shorts, bodysuits, tops, skirts, and men's latex wear including accessories, stockings, gloves and masks. According to the buyer, Silvie Niggli at Feeling USA, the latex stockings, gloves, men's briefs and shorts are their bestselling latex items. All items are available in sizes XS through XL, and in 6 exciting colors, black, red, yellow, blue, transparent and fume. Black and transparent are favored by Feeling USA customers.

Fetisso latex is unique and does not require powder or lubricants. The shinny and smooth surface in and outside provides a sexy erotic appearance. The vulcanization process used to produce this sexy latex clothing makes them super strong, and it is almost impossible to tear them. Other latex clothing on the market are made of un-processed sheet latex and are therefore not as strong and durable. The inside is not as smooth and often causes friction, and it is necessary to use powder or lubricants, the garments tend to stick together and tear easily. The new procedure used to produce Fetisso latex clothes does not have these characteristics, the latex has a smooth finish in and outside, and can be washed and dried within minutes. Feeling USA recommends to store the latex clothing in a cool dark place that they don't fade and lose their lustre.

FeelingUSA.com is a large lingerie store on the web, and retails lingerie, corsets, sexy clothing, costumes, bikinis, stockings, bodysuits, and high heel shoes, also specializing in plus size lingerie, as well as leather, vinyl, and latex. The company was founded in 1996 and carries close to 6'000 items in the online lingerie store. FeelingUSA provides secure e-commerce, accepts all major credit cards, and also offers Google and Paypal checkout. Worldwide shipping, free within the US, great prices, lingerie on sale, women's coats online discounts, free panty, and price guarantee. The team at FeelingUSA Lingerie loves to assist and can help choosing the correct size, shipping methods, and any other question about buying lingerie. FeelingUSA makes it easy to bring sexy back into every women's life.

Good Customer Service Is Not Good Enough Anymore

Do you have Renowned Customer Service women's coats ?

Do your customers leave your store / take delivery of your products and think, "Wow, it is so nice to buy from this business!!" Is your business well known / famous for your customer service?

Do your customers tell others about you? If not, you do not have renowned customer service.

Face it. Your customers can buy the products and service you sell from a lot of different competitors. The only thing you really have to differentiate your business and yourself is your service.
So what is good customer service these days?
Does it mean getting a customer out the door fast? Or having a sales assistant help find the right item, size and color? Or keeping costs as low as possible? Keeping the restrooms clean? Self-checkout? No self-checkout? Is it having the latest stuff shoppers don't even know they want until they see it? Making a delivery on time? Fixing errors quickly? Having a live person answering the phone?

Good customer service can only be defined by what is important to each individual customer. Renowned customer service is service that is so good that the customer finds it important to them and tells others about it.

I was very fortunate, my father taught me what Renowned Customer Service was when I was 17 years old.
My father taught valuable lessens one of two ways. By example or by experience. Unfortunately for me one snowy Christmas eve in central Pennsylvania he taught me Renowned Customer Service through experience.

I was home from college on holiday vacation and working at the business with my dad. On the morning of Christmas Eve a customer of my fathers, a truck driver, came into the electronics store and purchased from my father our low end, leader black and white 19" diagonal television. A sale we lost $10 on. I asked my father why he did not sell the customer up to a model we made a profit on. He told me that the customer was a good truck tire customer, we also had a tire store, whose business was not doing very good at the time and in fact the man was delivering freight to the west cost over Christmas to make extra money and catch up on his bills. He then instructed me to deliver the television to the man's home after we closed at 6pm. Plus the television was a surprise for his wife and 4 children.

I left the store at 6pm that evening to deliver the surprise gift. It had been snowing most of the day and now there was a strong sleet storm hitting our area. The first mistake I made was not to wear a heavy winter coat. I figured that I would only be out of the warm truck a few minutes. When I arrived at the customers home I took the television out of the back of the truck, carried it up a dozen or so steps. Standing on the porch, that did not have a roof on it so I was being bombarded by snow and ice, I knocked on the door. A lady opened the door, I could see four small children in the living room sitting near a small Christmas tree.

I told her I was from Janet's and had a television for her that her husband had purchased. She immediately told me I was making a mistake that they could not afford a television and her husband never would have made such a purchase. She them shut the door in my face.

I picked up the television, off the porch I went, down the steps and back into the truck. Now I knew I could not go home without at least telephoning my father first and telling him what had happened. So I went next door to one of her neighbors and asked to use the telephone. I called my father and he said. "Do not come home before you deliver that television."

Back out in the snowy, icy weather I went, into the truck, back to the customers house, out of the truck, hauling the television up the steps and on to the poach. I knocked on the door. This time when the lady came to the door she did not open it so I had to talk through the glass. I told her I had telephoned my father and I was not mistaken, the television was for her. She again told me I was making a mistake and told me to get off her porch or she would call the police.

Off the porch, down the steps, through the snow and ice. I was now freezing. Back in the truck. Back to the neighbors to call my father again. I again told him of my problem and all he said was "Deliver the television" and he hung up on me.

I sat out in front of the customers house for a while trying to think of what I could say to her to get her to accept delivery. Then a police car pulled up beside me. She had called the cops! The police office motioned for me to come over to his window, he was not about to get out in the snow and ice storm, the weather had now developed into. I told him what was going on and he said while finally getting out of his warm cruiser, "Get the TV and come with me."

We went back up the steps and on the porch. He knocked on the door, got the lady to let us in the house and said, "I know Janet's store very well and they usually do not make mistakes. Mr. Janet will sign that if in fact this is a mistake and this television was not purchased by your husband you get to keep it anyway.
After a bit more discussion she accepted the television.

When I arrived home, cold, wet and still freezing my father was sitting in front of a roaring fire drinking egg nog. I said in a demanding tone, "What the Hell was that all about." Before I could continue he looked at me and said, "We are 100% Customer-Centered. Everything we do is about and for the customer. NOT ABOUT US. We do not have good service we have 'renowned service'. I promised the customer we would deliver the television and we deliver what we promise. If you want to be successful selling products and services you will be 100% Customer-Centered. Not almost 100% - but 100%!!"

99.9% is not good enough.
If it were in the USA..

You can't afford not to.

Making and Figuring of Bronze

Making articles and figures from the bronze is one of the most difficult things. There are many process involved to make articles and figures from the bronze. Among the nations famous for their bronze making skills are Italy, France and Germany. And a number of good bronzes were made in England in the eighteenth century, but little is known yet about them.

Bronze
Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. Its use in prehistoric days is outside the scope of this book and the most important examples that will concern readers are those made in Italy and elsewhere from the sixteenth century and onwards.

The making of bronze articles and figures calls for great skill. Most were made by the 'cire-perdue' (lost wax) process, which can be described briefly as follows: the piece is modeled thinly in wax on a core of dry clay; the finished wax is then covered in a coat of clay. Holes are left so that molten metal can be poured in to take the place of the wax, which is melted and runs out.

The outer clay coating is broken off, the inner core chipped away, and the article finished by hand to remove any roughness or imperfections. Thus, it can be seen that each single bronze has to be modeled individually and with care, and that each version of the same original is slightly different from the others. All old bronzes were made by this method, which is still in use. The making of bronzes by means of a number of removable and re-usable small moulds, each of which leaves ridges on the article where it is joined, came into use in the nineteenth century. Traces of these ridges usually remain visible and their presence is taken generally as a certain sign of modern manufacture.

Among Italian modelers may be mentioned: Donatello, Andrea Briosco (called Riccio), Jacopo Tatti (called Sansovino) and the Flemish-born Giovanni di Bologna. German makers include the Vischer family, and the French sculptors Falconet and Clodion often had their work cast in bronze. The Frenchman Guillaume Coustou modeled the figures of rearing horses, known as the Marly Horses, about 1745. They were made in bronze, and in metals imitating bronze, in very large numbers in the nineteenth century. A number of good bronzes were made in England in the eighteenth century, but little is known yet about them.

Chinese and Japanese bronzes of great age and great size have been made for many hundreds of years. In addition to figures there are some fifteenth-century bells at Pekin weighing about fifty-five tons each and standing fourteen feet high. Chinese bronze altar-vessels of the Shang-Yin (1766-1122 B.C.) and Chou dynasties (1122-249 B.C.) are particularly fine and rare. Most have been buried for many centuries, and contact with earth has resulted in corrosion of the surface. Inevitably, these bronzes have been copied at later dates, but the true patina (ageing of the surface) presents a very difficult problem to the faker and it is one that is seldom solved with success.

Mention must be made of the very many fine bronze figures made in India and Siam (Thailand) in the sixteenth century A.D. and earlier. Some of the latter are gilt, and most are remarkably beautiful. The finer examples remain in the East or are in Western museums, but a few appear on the market from time to time. Reasonably good examples can sometimes be bought quite cheaply.

In West Africa, the skilful bronze and brass workers of the kingdom of Benin perhaps learned their craft from the Portuguese, with whom they had traded from the late fifteenth century. Their work is highly individual and much is very beautiful, but it is scarce and good specimens are obtainable only rarely. Examples were brought to Europe by a British punitive expedition, which captured Benin city in 1897, and there are fine collections from this source at the British Museum, the Pitt-Rivers Museum, women's coats Farnham, Dorset, the Museum of Primitive Art, New York, and in the possession of the Government of Nigeria.

Not only the Europeans but the Asian nations like Japan, China, India and Thailand also made good quality of bronze figures and articles. Some of them can still be found in some famous museums of the world. These countries usually made bronze idols, alter-vessels, and other figures and articles for both domestic use and for export.

What to Look for when Buying a Mascara Brush

Mascara is perhaps the most important but difficult type of makeup to use. Mascara is extremely useful because there are not many other products that can produce as stunning an effect as this type of makeup.
The time and effort needed to achieve this look is another matter altogether. Applying mascara perfectly can be a tricky process, but with the right mascara brush you will be on track to achieving the look you want.
Many people think that choosing the right mascara (one that will produce beautiful, thick, long, and well-separated lashes) is all about choosing the right brand, but this is not necessarily true. The mascara brush is at least as important as the brand of makeup. The mascara brush is so important that rather than patenting their mascara formulations, many top cosmetic companies actually patent their brushes, instead.
Another aspect of mascara to keep in mind is that for the most part, mascara formulas do not vary much from brand to brand, even when you compare cheaper mascaras with more expensive types. Unless you have particular mascara needs, such as sensitive eyes that require you to use a special hypoallergenic formulation, there is no need to spend large amounts of money on those expensive brands and varieties.

What type of brush do you need?
When you apply your mascara, the type of brush you use, the length of the bristles and the space between the bristles are a few important factors that determine how your lashes will look when you are done.

The shape of the brush is important too. You get a different effect with a curved mascara brush than you do with a straight one. So what type of brush do you need when you are hoping to recreate a particular effect?

To achieve the thick lashed-look your ideal brush has bristles that are fairly close together. If you have sparse-looking lashes and want to thicken them up, this brush is for you.?

For longer lashes choose a brush with longer bristles. The extra length will help you extend the tips of your lashes, for a luscious, long-lash look.?

To reduce lash clumping your mascara brush should have bristles that are spaced quite widely-apart. Note that this is the exact opposite of the type of brush that thickens your lashes.?

For even coverage across your entire lash line, go for a curved mascara brush. These help you achieve more even coverage because they can coat more of your lashes at the same time.?

To help you cover all your lashes including those hard-to-reach lashes at the corner of your eyes, choose a straight brush.
There are so many different brush types these days, it seems like it is difficult to achieve lashes that have it all. women's coats What does this mean exactly? The eyelash look which is generally the most sought after are eyelashes that are long, thick, well-separated with even coverage across the entire lash line. Sounds impossible, if you need five different brushes to achieve it!
These days you can buy replacement brushes at your local beauty store, so if your favorite mascara formula comes with a brush that does not suit you, it is not too difficult to locate a replacement brush that will help you achieve the look you want.
Another important point is that you really do not need to have all your bases covered when it comes to mascara brushes. It's all about personal preferences. You have the ability to choose from a wide range of different brushes, so there is no reason why you couldn't buy a small stock of several different brush types, and then use whichever type will help you achieve the look you want for any particular purpose.

If it is more important to you to thicken your lashes, for example, use a brush with close bristles, and pay special attention to the application process to reduce the possibility of clumping. If you prefer to use a clump-reducing brush, apply two or three coats of mascara to help thicken your lashes.

What else should you look for when shopping for mascara?

The brush is perhaps the most important factor to consider when choosing mascara, but it's not the only thing. Here are some quick tips to think about the next time you're buying mascara.

  • If your lashes are brittle and prone to shedding, or you have sensitive eyes, try a hypoallergenic mascara formulation, or one which contains lash conditioners to help your lashes stay healthy.
  • Try lengthening mascara if your lashes are thick and short, or thickening mascara if your lashes are sparse.
  • Waterproof mascara is a must if you're attending a potentially emotional event such as a wedding, or if you're planning to swim. Try the Earth & Water Mascara Duo from E.L.F. – this fantastically handy mascara set includes both regular and waterproof mascara in the same tube.

Style with Volume

Even when you're wearing the very latest in designer men's fashion, you could still end up with a boring outfit. For all the style options that are available to the modern man, flat and unimpressive pieces are very common. The end result is just that - unimpressive and flat. Volume is that secret ingredient that's so often missing in an ensemble. It doesn't take much to turn a dull getup into a daring outfit that would do GQ proud.

What Works with Your Body?
In fashion, it's always a good idea to know your body and how best to work with it. It's an even more important skill when working with volume since extra size or heft on one part of your body can exacerbate the smallest problem area.

Locate the area in your body that protrudes the most, such as your belly or thighs. It's this area that benefits the most from extra clothing volume because your clothes' visual heft will balance out the size of your body. This makes it easier for you to complete the rest of the outfit pieces, as there's no one area that commands immediate attention.

Slimmer men, on the other hand, will most probably aim to do exactly the opposite of understating their bodies' size. Volume is also effective for creating the illusion of a frame that's much taller and wider than it usually is. Pant women's coats s with a bit of room or jackets with some billow to them give the eye more material to view.

If you're yet to pay this kind of attention to your body, there's no better time to start than right now. It's more than just a question of style or self-esteem; one must know every detail of the canvas that is the body before you could paint it with fashion.

Balance and Proportion
Since you've already considered the necessary improvements, you may as well carry those out on your whole body. Keep control of all the volume you put into your outfit so that you're more likely to emphasize the best things and understate the worst ones.

Variety is a positive adjective in men's fashion, and it's more important in styles that involve volume. You'll want pieces with different layering values, like a billowing coat over a sleekly fitted vest or shirt. The variety is useful for keeping your problem area (and your solution to it) easy to see and distinguish.

Size, however, is not the be-all end-all issue. Prints and patterns can be used to make a plain item much more interesting. Feel free to use pieces that combine both print and volume, such as a patterned puffer vest in the fall. More often than not, though, volume is enough to stand an item on its own. You'd be better off using prints as elements that will balance out the voluminous pieces and keep them from dominating.

If you have the aforementioned puffer vest, for example, a lively printed necktie in some bright color will make your overall outfit interesting. Throwing in a print or a bright color gives the viewer a little something extra to consider when examining you.

Print on print is difficult; do you remember how hard matching neckties and shirts is? That should be enough to keep you from pairing volume on volume on volume. The Michelin Man look does no one any favors. Besides, all that heft will make it hard to walk around and maneuver. Be sure to mix it up!

Volume, Very Simple
Keep your total outfit simple. It's what keeps the whole thing from looking too contrived. When Ralph Lauren released big, bulky jackets in its fall 2009 collection, the runway look was monochromatic. The basic color scheme allowed the jacket's intimidating size and luxe sheen to really take center stage. Another person won't know what to look at first when you cram so many things in there.

Volume is a great way to make any outfit memorable, but you have to do it with restraint. A lot of pieces might not work well with your style or with other pieces, and there lies the true challenge.
